William Jerome LaBuhn, 80, of Bad Axe, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw.
Bill was born November 15, 1926 in Verona Township, son
of the late Joseph and Leona (Smalley) LaBuhn. William and Rose O'Parka were married January 19, 1957 at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. William attended Martin Country School in Verona Township and graduated from Bad Axe High School.
He was a parishioner of St. John Catholic Church in Ubly since 1963. He was a member of the Ubly Fox Hunters and a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 324 since 1947.
Bill retired from C.J. Rogers in Flint in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with family.
He is survived by his wife, Rose, of Bad Axe; three daughters, Rosalee Young and her husband, Tom, of Bay City, Rochelle Stacks and her husband, Joe, of Richland, Washington, Tracee Tisch and her husband, Dave, of Lake Orion; one son, Steve LaBuhn and his wife, Vicki, of Bad Axe; seven grandchildren, Raelene and Stacey Young, Kris Lattin, Adam and Alayna Tisch, Shelby and Eric LaBuhn; two great grandchildren, Isaac and Melea Lattin; two sisters, Genevieve Dietert, of Redford, and Adlean Hopkins, of Detroit.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Joseph LaBuhn; two sisters, Bertha Hunington and Eleanor Kaliszewski; one grandson, Matthew LaBuhn.
A Funeral Mass for William LaBuhn will be at 11 a.m. on
Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. The Rev. Joseph Griffin, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be
from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and from 10 until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. There will be a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
